Car
If you're travelling by car, from the center of Valdarno, head towards the A1 Autostrada (Motorway) following signs for Florence. Once on the A1, continue for about 30 kilometers and take the exit for Firenze Scandicci. Follow the signs for the city center (Centro di Firenze). As you approach Florence, follow the signs for P.za della Signoria. There is limited parking in the area, so consider using parking garages like Garage Palazzo Vecchio or Garage Michelangelo, both within walking distance of your destination. After parking, walk towards P.za della Signoria, where Palazzo Vecchio is located.
Train
To reach Palazzo Vecchio by train, take the train from the Valdarno train station (such as Figline Valdarno) to Florence Santa Maria Novella (SMN) station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at SMN, exit the station and head towards Via Panzani. Follow this street until you reach Piazza della Repubblica, then turn left onto Via Roma. Continue straight until you reach P.za della Signoria, where you will find Palazzo Vecchio. The total walking distance from the train station is about 1 kilometer.
Bus
If you prefer to use the bus, take the regional bus service from Valdarno to Florence. Buses frequently depart from main stops like Figline Valdarno or Montevarchi. Look for a bus heading to Florence (Firenze) and get off at the main bus station (Piazza della Stazione). From there, walk towards Via Panzani, turn left onto Via Roma, and continue until you reach P.za della Signoria. The walk should take about 15-20 minutes.
