Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car from Valdarno, head towards the A1 motorway. Take the A1 in the direction of Florence. Continue on the A1 for approximately 30 km. Take exit 8 towards Firenze-Centro. Follow the signs for Centro and merge onto Viale Giovanni Amendola. After about 2 km, you will arrive at Piazza de' Pitti. There is limited street parking available, and you may also find parking garages nearby, which typically charge between €2 to €4 per hour.

Train

For those using public transportation, take a train from any station in Valdarno (such as Montevarchi or Figline Valdarno) towards Florence. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Firenze Santa Maria Novella station, exit the station and walk to the bus terminal or take tram line T2 towards 'Firenze, Stazione Leopolda'. If you choose to walk, it's about a 20-minute walk to Piazza de' Pitti. Follow Via della Scala, which turns into Via dei Banchi, and then continue onto Via Roma until you reach the piazza.

Bus

If you prefer to take a bus, look for the bus services that operate from Valdarno to Florence. The bus ride may take around 50 minutes. Buses typically depart from various points in Valdarno. Check the local schedule for the most accurate departure times. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Florence, you can either walk to Piazza de' Pitti or use public transportation to get there.
