Car
If you're driving from Sondrio, take the SS38 road towards Teglio. Continue on this road for approximately 18 km until you reach the town of Teglio. In Teglio, follow signs for Prato Valentino. Once you enter Prato Valentino, continue straight until you see signs for Alpe Teglio. The road will take you uphill, and you will reach the ski resort area in about 15 minutes. Parking is available at Alpe Teglio, but check for any parking fees that may apply.
Public Transportation
From Sondrio, take the train to Tirano. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once at Tirano station, you can catch a bus towards Teglio. Buses typically run every hour, and the ride to Teglio takes about 20 minutes. In Teglio, you will need to transfer to a local bus heading towards Prato Valentino. This bus service may not be frequent, so check the local schedule in advance. Once you reach Prato Valentino, follow the signs to Alpe Teglio, which is approximately a 20-minute walk uphill from the bus stop.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Sondrio or Tirano to Alpe Teglio. Taxis are available at train stations and can take you directly to the resort. Expect to pay around €30-€50 for a taxi ride from Sondrio, depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. Alternatively, you can use ride-sharing apps if available in the area.
