If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the town of Carona in the Province of Bergamo. From Sondrio, take the SS38 road and follow signs towards Tirano. Once you reach Tirano, switch to the SP10 road towards Carona. Drive through the scenic countryside for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the unnamed road that leads to Cascata della Val Sambuzza. Park your car in a safe area along the road, as there may not be dedicated parking facilities. The waterfall is accessible by a short hike from your parking spot.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Sondrio to Tirano, which operates regularly. From Tirano, you will need to catch a local bus to Carona. Please check the local bus schedule ahead of time, as services may vary. Once in Carona, you will need to walk approximately 1-2 kilometers towards the unnamed road that leads to the waterfall. The trail is well-marked, but be prepared for some uneven terrain.
Hiking
