Car
If you're driving, start from Sondrio, the main city in Valtellina. Take the SS38 road towards Morbegno. After approximately 18 km, take the exit towards Dascio. Follow the signs for Dascio, and once you reach the village, navigate to Via Dascio. The scenic spot of Sasso Dascio is located at the end of this street. Keep in mind that parking may be limited, so arrive early.
Public Transportation
Take a train from Sondrio to Morbegno. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 20 minutes. From Morbegno, you can catch a local bus towards Dascio; the bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Dascio, walk along Via Dascio for about 10 minutes to reach Sasso Dascio. Be sure to check the latest bus schedules, as they may vary.
Walking/Hiking
For those who enjoy outdoor activities, consider hiking to Sasso Dascio from nearby villages. If you're in the nearby village of Gerola Alta, for example, you can take the walking trail that leads to Dascio. This scenic route takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear and carry water. Once in Dascio, continue to Sasso Dascio along Via Dascio.
