Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey towards Gena in the Province of Belluno. From Venice, take the A27 motorway towards Belluno. Continue on the A27 for about 70 km and then take the exit towards Belluno. Follow the signs for SP1 and then SP422. Drive for another 20 km, and you will find signs directing you towards the Soffia Waterfall. There is a parking area available near the waterfall, and parking is generally free.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Soffia Waterfall by public transportation, first take a train from Venice to Belluno. The train journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Belluno train station, transfer to a local bus that heads towards Gena. Check the local bus schedules, as they may vary, but buses typically run several times a day. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop nearest to Soffia Waterfall, and from there, it is about a 15-minute walk to the waterfall. Be prepared for some uneven terrain, as the walk may involve some hiking.

• Hiking

  If you're an adventurous type and wish to hike to Soffia Waterfall, you can park at the designated area near the local village of Gena. From the parking area, follow the well-marked trails that lead you to the waterfall. The hike is moderate and takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water, as the terrain can be rocky and steep in places.
