If you are near the Grand Canal, start by heading to the nearest Vaporetto (water bus) stop. Take the Vaporetto line 1 towards Piazzale Roma. Disembark at the Ferrovia (train station) stop. From there, exit the station and head towards the large bridge (Ponte della Costituzione). Cross the bridge and continue straight until you reach the main road. Turn left onto Lista di Spagna, which will lead you to the main area of Cannaregio. Follow the signs towards the Jewish Ghetto and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Strada Nova. Turn right onto Strada Nova, which will take you towards the Rialto area. From there, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Piazza IV Novembre as you head towards the northern part of the city.

If you are starting from St. Mark's Square, walk towards the Doge's Palace and exit through the main entrance. Head towards the water and turn left onto the waterfront promenade (Riva degli Schiavoni). Follow the promenade until you reach the Vaporetto stop at San Zaccaria. Take the Vaporetto line 1 towards Piazzale Roma and disembark at the Ferrovia stop. From there, follow the previous directions to reach Piazza IV Novembre.

If you are near the Accademia Bridge, cross the bridge and walk straight ahead into Campo San Barnaba. Turn left onto the main road and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Grand Canal. Turn right and follow the road until you find the nearest Vaporetto stop. Take line 1 towards Piazzale Roma and disembark at Ferrovia. From there, follow the previous walking directions to Piazza IV Novembre.
