If you are starting from the Grand Canal, make your way to the nearest Vaporetto (water bus) stop, such as 'San Marco'. Take Vaporetto Line 1 towards 'Ferrovia'. Get off at the 'Piazzale Roma' stop. From there, exit the station and walk towards the bus terminal. Look for signs indicating the train station (Stazione di Venezia Santa Lucia). Once you reach the train station, take a train to Padova. Trains frequently depart, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Padova train station, exit and look for bus or tram signs. Take Bus Line 7 or Tram Line 1 towards 'Prato della Valle'. Get off at the 'Prato della Valle' stop, and you will be right at your destination.
