To reach Forte San Nicolò, board the Vaporetto line 1 or line 5. If you are at St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco), walk to the nearby Vaporetto stop called 'San Marco'. Once on the Vaporetto, enjoy the ride along the Grand Canal. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the 'Lido' stop. From the Lido Vaporetto stop, walk straight along 'Via Sandro Gallo' for about 10 minutes until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path towards 'Forte San Nicolò'. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at the historical landmark.

If you are near the Lido Beach, head towards 'Via C. Colombo' and continue walking straight. After about 15 minutes, you will come across 'Forte San Nicolò' on your right. Keep an eye out for the large fortifications as you approach. This is a pleasant walk, and you will enjoy the coastal views along the way.

For a more adventurous route, consider renting a bicycle available at various rental shops around Lido. Once you have your bicycle, head towards 'Viale Ancona' and cycle along the waterfront.
