  To reach Viareggio by train, find the nearest train station in Versilia, such as Forte dei Marmi or Lucca. Look for a train heading towards Viareggio on the regional line. The journey from Forte dei Marmi takes about 15 minutes, while from Lucca it takes approximately 30 minutes. Tickets cost around €2-€5 depending on your starting location. Once you arrive at Viareggio train station, it's a short 10-minute walk to the city center and the beach.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take the bus, check the local bus schedules for routes heading to Viareggio. Buses run regularly from nearby towns such as Forte dei Marmi and Pietrasanta. The journey usually takes around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. A one-way ticket will cost approximately €2.50. Once you arrive at the Viareggio bus terminal, you can walk to the city center, which is about 15 minutes away.
