Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, first locate the A12 motorway. Take the exit for Viareggio and follow the signs towards the city center. Once in Viareggio, continue on Viale Giosuè Carducci, which runs parallel to the coastline. Look for signs pointing to 'Piazza Maria Luisa' as you approach the promenade area. Parking can be found at various public lots nearby, but be mindful of parking fees which vary. Street parking might also be available but check for any restrictions.

  For those using public transportation, take a train to Viareggio Station. There are frequent connections from major cities like Florence and Pisa. Once you arrive at Viareggio Station, exit and head towards Viale Manin. Walk straight until you reach Viale Giosuè Carducci, then turn right. Continue walking until you arrive at Piazza Maria Luisa where the promenade is located. The walk takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

  If you prefer traveling by bus, you can check for local bus services that run to Viareggio. Many buses connect various towns in Versilia to Viareggio. Once you arrive at the main bus station in Viareggio, the promenade is just a short walk away. Head towards Piazza Maria Luisa, and you will find the promenade adjacent to the square.   For a more scenic approach, consider renting a bicycle to reach the promenade. Many bike rental shops are available in Versilia. You can take the coastal bike paths that lead directly to Viareggio.
