Car
If you are driving in East End, head east on the A4 highway from the center of the town. Continue along the highway for about 10 kilometers until you reach the Morant Point area. Look for a small sign indicating Morant Point Lighthouse. You will need to turn off the main road onto a smaller, unpaved road leading to the lighthouse. Please note that the last part of the journey may require navigating through some rough terrain, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. There is no entrance fee to visit the lighthouse, making it a budget-friendly option.
Public Transportation
To reach Morant Point Lighthouse via public transportation, catch a minibus from the East End town center heading towards Morant Bay. Inform the driver that you want to disembark at Morant Point. The fare is typically around 200 JMD (Jamaican Dollars). After getting off at Morant Point, you will need to walk approximately 1 to 2 kilometers along the dirt road to reach the lighthouse. Be prepared for a moderately challenging walk, and ensure you have comfortable footwear.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Morant Point, you can enjoy a scenic walk to the lighthouse. From the Morant Point bus drop-off, head towards the coast, following the dirt path that leads directly to the lighthouse. The total walking distance is about 2 kilometers, and you will be surrounded by beautiful views of the coastline. Ensure to carry water and wear sunscreen, as there are limited shaded areas along the path.
