    Getting There

    Car

    If you are driving, start from Kingston. Take the A3 highway towards Spanish Town. After approximately 12 km, keep left to merge onto the A1 highway. Continue for around 25 km until you reach the town of Mavis Bank. From Mavis Bank, follow the road signs leading to the Blue Mountain Peak trailhead. The last segment will be a winding road; drive carefully as it can be steep and narrow. There is a parking area at the trailhead where you can leave your car. Note that there might be a small parking fee.

    Public Transportation

    From Kingston, take a bus or a taxi to Mavis Bank. The bus terminal is located at the Transport Centre in Downtown Kingston. Look for buses heading to Mavis Bank; they run frequently. The fare is typically around 300 JMD (approximately $2 USD). Once you arrive in Mavis Bank, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to the Blue Mountain Peak trailhead. The taxi fare from Mavis Bank to the trailhead is usually around 500 JMD (approximately $3.50 USD).

    Hiking

    Once at the trailhead, you will embark on a hike to Blue Mountain Peak. The trail is approximately 9 km long and can take around 2-3 hours to reach the summit, depending on your pace. Ensure you wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water and snacks. At the peak, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
