Getting There

• Walking

  From Ironshore, start by making your way to the nearest main road, which is the A1 highway. Depending on your exact location in Ironshore, you may walk towards the north-east to reach the A1. Once you reach the A1, turn left (toward the east) and continue walking. Keep an eye out for local landmarks such as the Ironshore Plaza or the beach area as they can help you navigate. After walking approximately 2 kilometers along the A1, you will come to a roundabout. Take the first exit to stay on the A1, and continue walking for another 500 meters. The Montego Bay sign is located at the coordinates F3VM+V87. Look for the sign on the right side of the road, just after you pass the local shops.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ironshore. After renting your bicycle, head to the A1 highway by cycling north-east. Once you reach the A1, turn left and follow the same route as mentioned above. Biking is a great way to enjoy the scenery. The distance is approximately 2.5 kilometers from Ironshore to the Montego Bay sign, and it should take around 10-15 minutes depending on your speed. Just be careful of traffic, as the A1 can be busy.

• Public Transport

  For those who prefer public transport, you can catch a local taxi or bus from Ironshore to Montego Bay. Look for a taxi stand or ask locals for the nearest bus stop. The fare for a local taxi ride is typically around 500 Jamaican dollars, while bus fares are usually around 200 Jamaican dollars. Once you board, inform the driver that you are going to the Montego Bay sign location, or simply ask to be dropped off near the A1 highway. After getting off, you may need to walk a short distance (approximately 300 meters) to reach the sign, which is located on the right side of the road.
