If you are traveling by car, head towards Nagano city center. From there, take Route 19 heading east. After approximately 5 kilometers, turn left onto Route 403. Continue on this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach Motoyoshicho. Yakuōin will be on your right at Motoyoshicho-657, and you can park in the designated area nearby.

To reach Yakuōin using public transportation, start by taking a train to Nagano Station. From Nagano Station, take the Nagano Electric Railway to Yudanaka Station. The journey takes around 45 minutes. Once at Yudanaka Station, transfer to a local bus heading towards Motoyoshicho. The bus will drop you off near Yakuōin at Motoyoshicho-657.
