Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from downtown Awa, head west on Route 32 towards Kagawa. Continue on Route 32 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the ferry terminal at Takamatsu Port. Park your car here and take the ferry to Naoshima Island. The ferry ride will take about 50 minutes. Upon arriving at Naoshima, follow the signs to the Ando Museum, which is located about 1.5 kilometers from the ferry terminal. You can either walk or take a local bus which runs frequently to the museum.

    From Awa, take the local train to Takamatsu Station. This will take about 40 minutes. Once at Takamatsu Station, transfer to the Takamatsu Port by taking a bus or walking (approximately 15 minutes). At Takamatsu Port, purchase your ferry ticket to Naoshima Island. The ferry ride lasts about 50 minutes. After arriving at Naoshima, follow the signs to the Ando Museum, which is about 1.5 kilometers from the ferry terminal. You can either walk or take a local bus to reach the museum.
