If you are driving, start your journey from Awa city center. Head north on Route 58. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the Nago area. Once in Nago, follow signs for Katsuyama. You will see signs for Mt Awa shortly after entering Katsuyama. The drive should take about 40 minutes, depending on traffic. There is parking available near the trailhead, which may incur a fee of around 500 yen.

To reach Mt Awa using public transportation, first, take a local bus from Awa. The bus you need is the 'Nago Line' which departs from Awa Bus Terminal.
