    Car

    To drive from Awa to Himeji Castle, head west on Route 32 towards the city of Tokushima until you reach the Tokushima Expressway. Merge onto the expressway and continue for approximately 70 kilometers. Take the exit toward Himeji and follow the signs to the city center. The castle is located at 68 Honmachi, Himeji, Hyogo 670-0012. Parking is available near the castle, but be aware that parking fees may apply, typically around 500-1,000 JPY depending on the lot.

    Train

    To reach Himeji Castle by train, start at Awa-Ikeda Station. Take the JR Tokushima Line to Tokushima Station, then transfer to the JR Marine Liner towards Okayama. Get off at Himeji Station. From Himeji Station, it is a 15-minute walk to Himeji Castle. Follow the signs towards the castle, or you can take a local bus for a small fee of around 210 JPY.

    If you prefer to take a bus, start at Awa. You can take a local bus to Tokushima and then transfer to a highway bus heading to Himeji. The bus ride will take approximately 2 hours and costs about 2,500 JPY. Once in Himeji, you can walk or take a local bus to the castle which is about 2 kilometers from the bus station.
