Sogenji Temple, officially established in 1698 by Ikeda Tsunamasa, the second lord of the Okayama Clan, stands as a testament to the enduring principles of Rinzai Zen Buddhism. To the east of the Butsuden, a meticulously maintained Japanese garden awaits, offering seasonal beauty with cherry blossoms in spring and vibrant foliage in autumn.
