Public Transport
From Hakata Station, take the No. 88 bus from bus stop 'F' in front of the Hakata Station Center Building. The ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Alternatively, from Tenjin Station, take the No. 80 bus from bus stop '2A' in front of Tenjin Solaria Stage, which takes about 15 minutes. Bus fares are typically around ¥230.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available from Hakata Station or Tenjin Station. A taxi ride to Hakata Ferry Terminal from either station typically costs between ¥1,500 and ¥2,000, depending on traffic conditions and the exact destination within the port area. The journey usually takes 10-15 minutes.
Driving
If driving, enter the Fukuoka city expressway at the 'Fukuoka Interchange' on the Kyushu Highway. Exit at the Higashihama-Rampway and head towards Tenjin. Turn right at the intersection in front of Marine Messe Fukuoka and drive approximately 100m to Hakata Port International Terminal. Parking is available at the terminal for ¥100 every 30 minutes, up to 4 hours and 30 minutes. After that, it costs ¥1,000 for up to 24 hours. Be aware that parking can be crowded during weekends and when cruise ships arrive.
