    Getting There

    Public Transport

To reach the Rainbow Bridge using public transport, the Yurikamome Line is a convenient option. From Shimbashi Station, take the Yurikamome Line to Shibaura-futo Station, which is the closest station to the bridge's Shibaura side entrance. Alternatively, from Odaiba, take the Yurikamome Line to Odaiba-kaihinkoen Station or the Rinkai Line to Tokyo Teleport Station, both within walking distance of the Odaiba side entrance. A single ride on the Yurikamome Line costs a few hundred yen.

    Walking

If you are already in the Shibaura area, you can walk to the Rainbow Bridge entrance. From Tamachi Station, it's about a 15-minute walk to the Shibaura side entrance. Follow the signs towards Shibaura-futo Station and the Rainbow Bridge. Note that the walkway entrance is accessible by elevator. Walking across the bridge takes approximately 20-30 minutes. There is no fee to walk across the bridge.

    Taxi

Taxis are readily available in Tokyo and can take you directly to either the Shibaura or Odaiba side of the Rainbow Bridge. A short taxi ride from nearby areas such as Shimbashi or Shinagawa to the Shibaura side would likely cost between ¥700 to ¥1000, depending on traffic. Be aware that traffic can be heavy during peak hours, potentially increasing the fare.

    Driving

If driving, you can access the Rainbow Bridge via the Shuto Expressway. Note that the expressway has tolls. Alternatively, you can drive to parking areas near the bridge entrances on either the Shibaura or Odaiba side. Parking near the Shibaura side, such as at Rainbow Bridge Parking, is available. Parking costs vary, but expect to pay around ¥300-500 per hour. Be aware that parking availability may be limited, especially during weekends and holidays.

    Local tips

Walk the Rainbow Promenade for free, choosing either the north route for Tokyo Tower and Skytree views or the south route for Odaiba and Tokyo Bay panoramas.
Visit in the evening to see the bridge illuminated, especially during December when it displays its signature rainbow colors.
Check the walkway's operating hours, as they vary seasonally (9 am-9 pm April-October, 10 am-6 pm November-March) and it closes every third Monday of the month.
Bring a jacket, as it can be windy on the bridge, especially at the higher elevations of the pedestrian walkway.
Bicycles are allowed on the bridge but must be walked, not ridden.
