Driving
From Fukuoka City or Fukuoka Airport, the fastest way to reach the Yame area near Chikuhisanchi is by car via the Kyushu Expressway, a drive of approximately one hour. From the Yame Interchange (IC), follow local roads towards Tachibanamachi. Be aware that parking near the mountain may be limited, especially during peak seasons.
Public Transport
Alternatively, from Fukuoka City, take the Nishitetsu-Tenjin-Omuta Line from Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station to Nishitetsu-Kurume Station (30 minutes). Transfer to the Nishitetsu Kurume bus for a 35-minute journey to Fukushima. From there, local buses or taxis can be used to reach closer to Chikuhisanchi. Bus fare from Nishitetsu-Kurume to Fukushima is approximately ¥500. A taxi from Fukushima to the mountain area may cost around ¥2,000-¥3,000.
