Getting there

By Car

From central Hamamatsu, take Route 1 (also known as the Tōkai Road) heading towards the Kanzanji area. Follow the signs to Kanzanji Onsen. Once you reach Kanzanji Onsen, look for signs for the Kanzanji Ropeway. There is parking available near the ropeway station, but be aware that parking may incur a fee, typically around 500-1000 JPY per day.

By Train and Bus

Take the Tōkaidō Line from Hamamatsu Station to Hamamatsu Nishi Station (approximately 15 minutes). From Hamamatsu Nishi Station, catch the local bus bound for Kanzanji Onsen. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule beforehand, as they may not run frequently. Upon arrival at Kanzanji Onsen, follow the signs to the Kanzanji Ropeway station, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

By Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Hamamatsu Station directly to Kanzanji Ropeway. The journey typically takes around 30 minutes depending on traffic. The fare will generally range from 3000 to 5000 JPY, so be prepared for this cost if you choose this option.
