Car
If you're driving from Toyama City, take Route 41 heading south. After about 40 minutes, merge onto Route 300 towards Tateyama. Continue for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the entrance of the Shōmyō Waterfall area. There is a parking lot available near the waterfall, but it can fill up quickly, especially during peak tourist seasons. Parking fees may apply, so have some cash ready.
Public Transportation
From Toyama Station, take the Toyama Chiho Railway to Tateyama Station. The train ride takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Tateyama Station, you can take a bus bound for Shōmyō Waterfall. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus timetable in advance to avoid long waits, as services may be limited.
Walking
