Excellent castle tour, excellent guide!

I highly recommend this castle tour and Noriko as a tour guide. Our Wakayama Castle and town tour was very informative and fun, thanks to Noriko. She provided an efficient and information-packed tour as we walked around the surrounding area and then into the castle grounds. We learned a lot, saw beautiful scenery and historical places, and enjoyed Noriko’s company greatly! This tour is about 3 hours long, perfect for learning a lot about the castle history and the surrounding area, leaving the rest of the day to visit other places in Wakayama. Noriko is very personable and friendly, and she made sure we understood what she was conveying. Her English is excellent and she answered our questions very well. She even took us to a special location for a spectacular view of the castle, and took our group photo several times for lasting memories. As part of the tour, she showed images in a well-organized notebook that illustrated historical figures, original castle layouts, and other interesting facts about family relationships of the shoguns and court life. Noriko also informed us of special events at the castle, especially the night events. She also gave us brochures of other Wakayama sights, and gave suggestions about how to visit other places on our Wakayama itinerary, such as Tomogashi Island and the cat train. We also greatly appreciated her contacting us prior to the tour and answering our questions. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the efficient and enlightening Wakayama Castle tour with Noriko as a valuable and superb guide. I highly recommend this tour and Noriko as a guide.
