Subway
Start your journey at Hakata Station, the main transportation hub in Fukuoka. From Hakata Station, take the Kuko Line (Airport Line) towards Fukuoka Airport. Travel for two stops and get off at Tenjin Station. At Tenjin Station, change to the Nishitetsu Line and take a train towards Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station. Travel for one stop and get off at Gion Station.
Walking
Exit Gion Station and head south towards the intersection. Turn right onto Chikkohonmachi street. Continue walking straight for approximately 10 minutes. You will pass several shops and local eateries. Keep walking until you reach the entrance to Hakata Pier Sunset Park located at 13-217 Chikkohonmachi, Hakata Ward.
Bus
From Hakata Station, you can also take a bus. Find the bus terminal outside of Hakata Station. Look for the Nishitetsu bus number 5, which goes towards Hakata Port. Board the bus and ride for about 15 minutes. Get off at the Hakata Pier stop. Once you disembark, walk towards the waterfront and you’ll see the entrance to Hakata Pier Sunset Park.
