Subway
From Hakata Station, take the Kuko Line (Airport Line) towards Meinohama. Get off at 'Nakasukawabata Station' (中洲川端駅). Exit the station and head towards the river. Walk north along the river for about 10 minutes until you reach the Sumiyoshi Shrine area. Rakusuien is located at 2 Chome-10-7 Sumiyoshi, just a short walk from the shrine.
Bus
From Tenjin Station, take the Nishitetsu bus number 100 or 200 towards Hakata. Get off at 'Sumiyoshi' bus stop. Once you get off, walk north for about 5 minutes. Rakusuien is located at 2 Chome-10-7 Sumiyoshi, Hakata Ward, just a few blocks away.
Walking
If you are staying near Tenjin, you can walk to Rakusuien. Head towards the east from Tenjin, cross the river at the Nakasu Bridge, and continue straight until you reach the intersection. Turn left onto Sumiyoshi Street and continue walking for about 15 minutes. Rakusuien will be on your right at 2 Chome-10-7 Sumiyoshi.
Taxi
If you prefer to take a taxi, simply tell the driver 'Rakusuien' or show them the address: 2 Chome-10-7 Sumiyoshi, Hakata Ward. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance of the garden. This is a convenient option if you have luggage or prefer not to walk.
