Start at Hakata Station, the main train station in Fukuoka. Take the JR Kagoshima Line towards Kitakyushu and get off at Chikuzen-Maebaru Station (about 30 minutes). From Chikuzen-Maebaru Station, exit and head to the bus stop outside the station. Take the Nishitetsu Bus bound for Karan Waterfall (Karan no Taki). The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the Karan Waterfall bus stop, and you'll be just a short walk from the waterfall entrance.
