Subway
If you are starting from Hakata Station, take the Kuko Line (Airport Line) from Hakata Station towards Meinohama Station. After 2 stops, get off at Tenjin Station. At Tenjin Station, transfer to the Nishitetsu Line and take the train towards Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station. Get off at Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum.
Bus
From Tenjin, you can catch a bus from the Tenjin Bus Center. Look for buses that head towards Hakata Ward. The bus stop is located on the 1st floor of Tenjin地下街 (Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall). Take bus number 5 or 6, and get off at the 'Fukuoka Asian Art Museum' stop. The museum will be within walking distance from the bus stop.
Walking
If you are already in the area around Tenjin, you can walk to the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum. From Tenjin Station, head northwest on the main road (Tenjin Chuo-dori) for about 10 minutes until you reach the main intersection with the Fukuoka Prefectural Art Museum. Turn left and continue straight until you see the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum on your left.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Fukuoka. Simply tell the driver you want to go to 'Fukuoka Asian Art Museum' or provide the address: '〒812-0027 Fukuoka, Hakata Ward, Shimokawabatamachi, 3−1 7・8F'.
