Getting There

  • Subway

    Start at Hakata Station, which is a major transportation hub in Fukuoka. Take the Kuko Line (Airport Line) towards Meinohama. Travel for 3 stops and get off at Tenjin Station. At Tenjin Station, transfer to the Nishitetsu Bus. Look for bus number 100 or 200 towards Shikashima. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Shikashima stop, which is closest to Shika Island.

    From Tenjin Station, head to the Nishitetsu Bus Terminal located in the same building. Look for Bus number 100 or 200 heading to Shikashima. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Disembark at the Shikashima bus stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the ferry terminal for Shika Island.

  • Ferry

    After arriving at the Shikashima bus stop, follow the signs to the ferry terminal. Purchase your ticket for the ferry to Shika Island. The ferry ride takes about 10-15 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views of the water as you approach the island.
