Getting There

Subway
If you're starting from Hakata Station, take the Kuko Line (Airport Line) towards Nakasu-Kawabata. Get off at Nakasu-Kawabata Station (3 stops). From there, exit the station and walk towards the Nishitetsu Bus Center. Take the bus number 14 or 15, which will take you to Gokushomachi bus stop. From the bus stop, Shofukuji is a short 5-minute walk.

From Tenjin Station, head to the Tenjin Bus Terminal located on the basement level of Tenjin Station. Take the Nishitetsu Bus No. 16 or 17 towards Gokushomachi. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at Gokushomachi bus stop. Shofukuji is just a short 5-minute walk from there.

If you are near the Hakata area, you can walk to Shofukuji. Start at the Hakata Station and head north on Chuo Street until you reach Gokushomachi. It will take around 20-25 minutes to walk there. Once you reach Gokushomachi, continue walking straight until you see the entrance to Shofukuji.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Fukuoka. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Shofukuji Temple at 6-1 Gokushomachi. The fare should be reasonable, and you can expect to arrive within 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
