Ferry
To reach Kaenzuka, take a ferry from Bayside Place Hakata (Hakata Wharf Terminal 1) to Shikanoshima. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Shikanoshima Ferry Terminal, Kaenzuka is a short distance away. You can take the Shikanoshima Bus or rent a bicycle to reach the site. The ferry from Hakata to Shikanoshima costs ¥600-¥700.
Bus
Alternatively, you can take a bus from Tenjin to the Shigashima Bus Terminal, which takes about 60 minutes. From the bus terminal, Kaenzuka is a short walk or bus ride away. Bus routes on the island connect major attractions.
Driving
If driving from Fukuoka, follow the road to Shikanoshima, which is connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway. Driving time from Hakata is approximately 50 minutes. Parking is available on the island, but it may be limited near popular attractions. Tolls are not applicable for accessing Shikanoshima. Parking costs vary, but expect to pay around ¥500-¥800 for a day.
