    From Hakata Station, take the Fukuoka City Subway Kuko Line (Airport Line) one stop to Gion Station. From Tenjin Station, take the same line two stops to Gion Station. From Gion Station, take Exit 2; the shrine is about a 5-minute walk away. Subway fare is around ¥200-¥260. Alternatively, from Fukuoka Airport, take the subway directly to Gion Station. A taxi from Fukuoka Airport to the shrine takes about 5 minutes and costs ¥1800-¥2300.
