Car
If you are driving from central Higo, take Route 10 heading towards Takachiho. Follow the signs for Takachiho for about 30 kilometers. As you approach Takachiho, turn left onto Route 265. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers. You will see signs for Amanoiwato Shrine. Turn right onto Iwato Road, and the shrine will be on your left. There is free parking available at the shrine.

To reach Amanoiwato Shrine via public transportation, head to Higo's main bus terminal. Take a bus heading towards Takachiho; the journey takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Takachiho, walk towards the Takachiho Shrine bus stop. From there, take the local bus that goes to Amanoiwato Shrine. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the Amanoiwato Shrine stop, and you will see the entrance just a short walk from the bus stop.
