From the center of Higo, head south on Route 57 towards Minamiaso. Continue for about 30 minutes until you reach the intersection with Route 265. Turn left onto Route 265. After about 10 minutes, follow signs for Shirakawa Spring. You will see signs directing you to the attraction. The spring is located at 2040 Shirakawa, Minamiaso. There is parking available near the site.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Higo to Minamiaso. Board the Kumamoto Bus at the Higo Bus Station and purchase a ticket to Minamiaso. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Minamiaso Station, exit the station and look for the local bus service that goes to Shirakawa Spring. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the Shirakawa Spring stop, and follow the signs to the attraction, which is just a short walk from the bus stop.
