Getting There

Car
If you are driving from the center of Hizen, start by heading south on Route 204. Follow this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the intersection near Karatsu. Turn right onto Route 202 and continue for about 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Nagoya Castle Ruins; keep an eye out for the brown historical landmark signage. After another 2 kilometers, you will see the entrance to the ruins on your left. Parking is available nearby, but there may be a small fee, typically around 500 yen for the day.

Public Transportation (Train)
From Hizen, head to the nearest train station, which is Hizen-Yamaguchi Station. Take the JR Chikuhi Line towards Karatsu Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Karatsu Station, exit the station and walk to the bus terminal located adjacent to the station. Board the Nishitetsu bus heading towards Nagoya Castle Ruins. The bus ride takes about 10-15 minutes, and a one-way fare is around 300 yen. Get off at the Nagoya Castle Ruins stop, and you will find the entrance just a short walk away.

If you prefer taking a bus directly from Hizen, locate the nearest bus stop for the Nishitetsu bus service. Board a bus heading towards Karatsu City. You may need to transfer at Karatsu Station to a bus heading specifically to Nagoya Castle Ruins. The total travel time is approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the connection time. The total cost for the bus ride will be around 600 yen.
