Mount Yūbari, situated in Hokkaido, is a mountain peak celebrated for its stunning vistas and rich ecosystem. Public Transport
From Sapporo Station, take the JR Muika Station Line to Minamifurano Station. The journey takes about 2 hours. Upon arrival at Minamifurano Station, take the local bus (Minamifurano Kotsu) heading towards Kanayama. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Check the schedule in advance as buses may not run frequently. From the Kanayama bus stop, walk to the Mount Yūbari trailhead, about 10-15 minutes away. The train fare from Sapporo to Minamifurano is approximately ¥4,000 - ¥5,000. The bus fare from Minamifurano Station to Kanayama is approximately ¥500.
Car
Driving from Sapporo, take the Hokkaido Expressway (道央自動車道). After approximately 90 minutes, take the exit toward Minamifurano. Continue on Route 237, following the signs for Mount Yūbari. Parking is available near the trailhead, with a fee of around ¥500. Note that the forest road to the trailhead may be closed early or late in the season, adding an extra 10km walk.
