Hokusai-kan Museum and Historic Obuse Private Tour
Worth a visit. Excellent museum in lovely town.
A very good museum exhibiting Hokusai's works and others. None of his major works are their. But lots of woodblocks and also painted festival carts. Excellent museum shop.

A great day made easy by the assistance of the driver
Our driver made the day so easy. The Snow Monkey park is always so busy; we were dropped at the closest spot and he was there on our return. We stopped at Obuse which was lovely -

What a lovely experience! Kazuo, our guide, was truly great! He gave us clear explanations, answered all our questions, and took us to some special places in Obuse. We booked this tour based on our interest in miso (which was a very fun part of the tour) but we got so much more. This tour has been one of the highlights of our Japan trip 🙂
