Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the center of Iki, take Route 204 towards the ferry terminal, then follow the signs to the Nagasaki Expressway. Merge onto the Nagasaki Expressway and continue for approximately 50 km until you reach the Suwa exit. Follow the signs to Suwa City, and once you enter the city, navigate to 171-2 Nakasu, where the Suwa City Museum is located. There is parking available near the museum.

  • Public Transportation

    From Iki City, take a ferry from the Iki Ferry Terminal to Nagasaki. The ferry takes about 40-60 minutes. Once you arrive at Nagasaki, head to Nagasaki Station and take the JR Nagasaki Main Line to Matsumoto Station. From Matsumoto, transfer to the JR Chuo Line towards Oito and get off at Suwa Station. The Suwa City Museum is approximately a 10-minute walk from Suwa Station. Exit the station and head north on Nakasu Avenue; the museum will be on your right at 171-2 Nakasu.
