Ferry
The most common way to reach Iki Island is by ferry from Hakata Port in Fukuoka. Two ferry options are available: a high-speed jetfoil (approx. 1 hour, ¥4,040 one way) and a slower ferry (approx. 2 hours 25 minutes, ¥2,800 one way). From the port in Iki (Gonoura or Ashibe), local buses and taxis are available to reach your final destination.
Bus
Upon arrival at Iki, local buses provide a convenient way to navigate the island. A one-day bus pass costs ¥1,000 for adults and ¥500 for junior high school students and younger. These passes can be purchased at ticket booths or directly on the buses.
