Car
If you are driving from Izu, take Route 1 (Izu Bypass) towards Hakone. Follow the signs for Hakone and continue until you reach the Hakone-Yumoto area. From there, take Route 233 towards Gora. You will encounter a series of winding roads. Keep following the signs for Gora. Once you arrive in Gora, look for parking options near the Hakone Ropeway Sounzan Station. The station is located at Gora, Hakone, Ashigarashimo District, Kanagawa 250-0408.
Public Transportation
To get to Hakone Ropeway Sounzan Station using public transport, start by taking the Izukyu Railway from Izu to Odawara Station. At Odawara Station, transfer to the Hakone Tozan Railway and take the train towards Gora Station. Once you arrive at Gora Station, follow the signs towards the Hakone Ropeway Sounzan Station. It’s a short walk from the station, and you can enjoy the scenic views along the way.
