From Izu, head to the nearest train station (e.g., Atami Station). Take the JR Tōkaidō Line to Odawara Station. From Odawara, transfer to the Hakone Tozan Railway and take the train to Hakone-Yumoto Station. At Hakone-Yumoto, switch to the Hakone Tozan Bus and take the bus to Motohakone. The total journey can take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Be sure to check the bus schedule as they may vary. A one-way ticket will cost around 2000-3000 yen, depending on your starting point.
