    If you are traveling by car, head towards Route 1 (also known as the Odawara-Atsugi Road) and follow the signs for Hakone. Once you reach the Hakone area, continue on Route 1 until you see signs for Lake Ashi. Take the exit for Motohakone, and follow the road signs leading to the lake. Parking is available near the lake.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Lake Ashi by public transport, take the Odakyu Line from Shinjuku Station in Tokyo to Hakone-Yumoto Station. From Hakone-Yumoto Station, transfer to the Hakone Tozan Railway and travel to Gora Station. At Gora, take the Hakone Ropeway to Owakudani Station. Finally, take the Hakone Tozan Bus from Owakudani to Motohakone. The bus will take you directly to the lake area.
