For public transportation, take the train from Izu to Shizuoka Station. From Shizuoka Station, transfer to the Shizutetsu Just Line bus. Take the bus towards Nihondaira and alight at the Nihondaira Zoo stop. The entire journey will take around 1.5 hours. A one-way train ticket will cost around 1,500 yen, and the bus fare is approximately 500 yen.
