If you're driving from central Izu, take the Izu Skyline road. Follow Route 1 north and then take the exit for the Izu Skyline. Continue on the Izu Skyline, enjoying the scenic views, until you reach the Sengokuhara area. Look for signs directing you to Owakudani. The parking lot is available at Owakudani, but be aware that it may incur a parking fee, typically around 1,000 yen per day.

Train and Bus
From Izu, take the JR Tokaido Line to Odawara Station. At Odawara Station, transfer to the Hakone Tozan Railway and ride it to Gora Station. From Gora Station, take the Hakone Tozan Cable Car to Sounzan Station. Finally, at Sounzan Station, transfer to the Owakudani Ropeway, which will take you directly to Owakudani. Note that the total fare for this journey may be around 2,500 yen.

If you are near Hakone, you can take a public bus from Hakone-Yumoto Station or other nearby areas. Look for the bus bound for Owakudani. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes and costs approximately 1,000 yen. Make sure to check the bus schedule as the frequency may vary.
