    Getting There

    Car

    If you're driving from the center of Izumi, head north on Route 170. Follow the signs for Sakai City and continue until you reach the exit for Mihara Ward. Take the exit and merge onto Route 309. Continue on Route 309 for approximately 10 kilometers. Once you reach the intersection with Route 1, turn right. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will see signs for Houunji Temple on your left. There is parking available near the temple, but it may incur a small fee depending on the time of day.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Houunji Temple using public transport, start by taking a train from Izumi Station on the Nankai Main Line towards Namba. Change trains at Sakai Station. From Sakai Station, take the Nankai Koya Line in the direction of Gokurakubashi. Get off at Imai Station. From Imai Station, it is about a 15-minute walk to Houunji Temple. Exit the station and head east on Imai Street, following the signs to the temple. Note that the train fare from Izumi Station to Sakai Station is approximately 300 yen, and the Koya Line fare from Sakai to Imai is about 200 yen.
