Car
If you're driving from the center of Izumi, head southeast on Route 170. Continue for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Route 25. Turn right onto Route 25 and follow the signs for Matsuoji. After approximately 10 minutes, you will see the entrance to Matsuoji on your left at 2168 Matsuojicho. Note that parking is available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees.
Public Transportation
To reach Matsuoji via public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Izumi Station. Board the bus heading towards Matsuoji (check the bus schedule for routes that specifically mention Matsuoji). The journey will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Matsuoji stop, which is a short walk from the temple. Make sure to have some cash on hand for the bus fare, which is approximately 500 yen.
Taxi
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from anywhere in Izumi. Simply tell the driver to take you to Matsuoji (2168 Matsuojicho). The taxi ride will take around 15 minutes, depending on traffic, and will cost approximately 1,500 to 2,000 yen. This is a convenient option if you're traveling in a group or with luggage.
