The town was established in 725 A.D. when the priest Gyoki discovered a crow bathing its injured wing in the hot spring's healing waters. Today, visitors can explore the town's historic bathhouses, including the Ko-Soyu, a Meiji-era bathhouse, and the Soyu, a modern facility. The town is known for its Kutani-yaki porcelain.Yoshidaya Sannoukaku provides a free shuttle service to Kaga Onsen Station.
