Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the Kanazawa Station area, exit the station and head towards the East Exit. From there, walk straight towards the Kenrokuen Garden, following the signs. Once you reach Kenrokuen Garden, continue walking towards the Kanazawa Castle Park entrance. The Hashizume-mon Gate is located inside the Kanazawa Castle Park, so you will need to enter the park to reach the gate.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From Kanazawa Station, take the bus marked 'Kanazawa Castle' (Bus No. 2 or 8). The journey will take about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Kanazawa Castle Park' stop. From the bus stop, walk towards the main entrance of the park. Once inside, follow the path to the Hashizume-mon Gate located to your left.

  • Walking from 21st Century Museum

    If you are near the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, head east towards the Kanazawa Castle Park. Walk along the path that leads to the main entrance of the park. Once you enter, you can find the Hashizume-mon Gate on your left side. It’s approximately a 15-minute walk.

  • Walking from Nagamachi Samurai District

    From the Nagamachi Samurai District, exit the area and walk towards the main street. Head north towards the Kanazawa Castle Park. The walk will take about 20 minutes. Once you reach the park entrance, enter and proceed to the Hashizume-mon Gate located inside.
