Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in Kanazawa Station, exit the station and head south toward the bus terminal. From the bus terminal, you can walk to Ishikawa-mon Gate. Walk along the main road in front of the station, named 'Honmachi Dori'. Continue straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with 'Musashigatsuji Dori'. Turn left onto Musashigatsuji Dori and walk for another 10 minutes. You will see Kanazawa Castle Park on your right. Continue walking straight until you reach the entrance of the park where Ishikawa-mon Gate is located. The gate is situated at 1-1 Marunouchi.

    From Kanazawa Station, take a bus bound for 'Kenrokuen' or 'Nishi Chaya District'. The buses leave from the Kanazawa Station bus terminal. After about 10-15 minutes, get off at the 'Kenrokuen' bus stop. From the bus stop, walk through the Kenrokuen Garden entrance. As you exit the garden, head towards the right and take the path leading directly to Kanazawa Castle. Ishikawa-mon Gate is located at the entrance of the castle. The address is 1-1 Marunouchi.
