Public Transport
From Tobu-Nikko Station or JR Nikko Station, take the World Heritage Sightseeing Bus to the 'Taiyuin-Futarasan Jinja-mae' bus stop. The bus ride takes approximately 10-15 minutes. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the Nitenmon Gate. The one-way bus fare is around ¥350, or you can purchase a day pass for ¥600.
Walking
From Tobu-Nikko Station or JR Nikko Station, it's approximately a 30-40 minute walk to the Nitenmon Gate. The walk takes you through Nikko's main street and past other significant sites like the Shinkyo Bridge. Follow the signs towards Nikko Toshogu Shrine; Nitenmon Gate is located a short distance west of Toshogu Shrine, within the Taiyuin Mausoleum complex.
